I recommend using the app in the future instead of the Ten-Field or Hundred-Field. However, since the \u201cold\u201d apps are still widely in use and there are resources and literature available for the Ten-Field and Hundred-Field that are partly not compatible with the new design, I have decided to keep these apps available in the App Store as long as they remain functional.<br>This new app includes a<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Ten-Field,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Twenty-Field, a<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Hundred-Field, and a<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Thousand-Field.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The <a href=\"https:\/\/pikas-mi.dzlm.de\/video_public\/739\">functions<\/a> are similar to the functions of the apps with the 20s and 100s fields. Additionally, the app includes new or modified features:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The numbers can be changed in certain places by sliding down or up.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The cover fields for each number can be individually slid up and down.<br>An answer for the task can be directly typed into the field with a check and help, or written with a stylus.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Subtraction tasks are represented by raised, animated tiles instead of previously crossed-out tiles.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The field can be completely covered and uncovered. There is a flash view mode that briefly shows the field after each change.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The bar with \u201cActivities\u201d is now at the bottom of the screen, making it easier to use while observing the effects.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The exchange task when switching between addition and subtraction is displayed as an animation.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>You can switch between a Ten-Field, Twenty-Field, and Hundred-Field.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The task created can be output via text-to-speech.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>There is a guided introduction to the app\u2019s features.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Actions can be recorded via video recording (e.g. to show the class calculation strategies)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Screenshots of task configurations can be saved, labeled and printed, for example for calculation conferences.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Have fun experimenting and learning with the app!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Ideas for use<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In a&nbsp;<strong>Task card<\/strong>&nbsp;, I am collecting teaching ideas for using the app (almost in german language, sorry). So far, these are more like rough ideas that will be further developed and refined, and they will also be supplemented with templates, interactive exercises, and explanatory videos. I would be very happy if others would also post their ideas on the board through the plus sign or use the comment function, creating a collection of exciting usage scenarios.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<iframe src=\"https:\/\/kmz-bsk.taskcards.app\/#\/board\/4d46b3c7-09be-471b-8746-337fcfac039e?token=6587c211-d894-4fb6-9392-b319aabfb2c1\" style=\"border:0px;width:100%;height:500px\" allowfullscreen=\"true\" webkitallowfullscreen=\"true\" mozallowfullscreen=\"true\"><\/iframe>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Only for iOS \/ macOS<\/strong><br>The app is only available for apple devices.&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.lernsoftware-mathematik.de\/?p=1072\">Online calculation fields with a slightly reduced range of functions that can be executed without installation are available here<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A simplified web version of the twenty and hundreds chart is also available here: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.lernsoftware-mathematik.de\/rechenfeld\/\">https:\/\/www.lernsoftware-mathematik.de\/rechenfeld\/<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Scientific study of the computer field app<\/strong><br>The arithmetic field app was examined in a recent scientific study by Kuzu &amp; Walter (2026). The study analyzes how primary school children work with the app and, in particular, how they interpret so-called helper tasks. The results show that the app not only supports operational arithmetic but also promotes conceptual understanding, strategic thinking, and individual problem-solving strategies when carefully integrated into classroom instruction.
