– an app for quickly recording and placing quantities with your own fingers.
Finger numbers (finger quantities) is an educational game for the iPad.
The learning game is about recognizing numbers as quickly as possible and without counting and placing them with your fingers, ie touching the screen with them (simultaneous finger presentation). This ability is important for developing a solid understanding of numbers and operations as a basis for all further mathematical skills. The aim of the game is to achieve as many points as possible in the allotted playing time and to beat your personal record again and again through practice.
Four entertaining games are offered, which should be chosen to suit the child's level of learning:
1. Numbers: This game is intended as an introduction to the game. The main purpose of the game is to practice how to operate and use the game. The child should learn and practice how to place the right number of fingers on the display.
2. Quantity images: In this game, structured quantity images must be recognized without counting. In preparation for this game, you should discuss with the child how the quantity images can be recognized as quickly as possible without counting. To make counting more difficult, the quantity images are faded out again after a short time (flash view).
3. Mixed representations: In this game, different representations for quantities or numbers must be recognized quickly.
4. Math problems: This game contains math problems related to the level number 5 (Power of Five), which should be calculated or recalled as quickly as possible.
In the settings, the game can be adapted to the needs of the child, for example by limiting the number range, changing the flash time, etc.
For a first impression, you can watch a video of the learning app (version 1.0) here or download a Webapp with reduced functionality (only works on devices that can recognize multiple touch inputs simultaneously)try:

One more little poem to finish:
Quickly recognized with fingers,
numbers are named in no time.
No time for long counting,
You can choose quantities with your fingers.
See the crowd – immediately understood,
Fine-tuned sensitivity.
This makes learning great fun,
“Finger quantities” – I’m learning something from that!
